Jane Byrne

I became Clerk, to the board of governors at Baltonsborough Primary school, in September 2021.  During this time, we have welcomed a new Head Teacher, new Senior Teacher and completed the process of leaving the Local Authority and joining a Multi Academy Trust.  In my role as clerk, I provide professional advice and administrative support to the Local Advocate Board, LAB, ensuring it is efficient and compliant with legal requirements.  Key responsibilities include preparing for and attending meetings, taking accurate minutes, managing LAB information, and advising Local Advocates on governance, procedural and legal matters.

I have lived in the village for over 20 years, during which time both of my daughters have attended the school, developing a love of learning, encouraged by the warm and welcoming environment in school and are now enjoying continuing their studies at secondary school.
